Practice Gratitude Exercises To Transform Your Life

Follow these steps to develop an attitude of gratitude. THE best way to raise your vibration and attract what you desire.

I can't emphasize enough how important it is to practice gratitude when you are following your path to personal development growth.

You should think of it not only as a tool for transformation but as a way of life.

Now, if you have wrapped your mind around the fact that we are all energy then you realize there is no separation and we are all connected. Everything is energy with it's own rate of vibration that attracts things of like vibrations to it. That of course includes our thoughts. And thoughts and feelings of gratitude are some of the most powerful and they allow for great positive shifts to occur.

The Top 2 Ways To Practice Gratitude

#1. BE THANKFUL IN ADVANCE: It has been said that the most powerful form of gratitude is the kind which you express in advance of your actual experience. The expression of faith that this requires allows for the most effective type of vibrational shift.

#2. FIND THINGS TO BE GRATEFUL FOR IN BAD SITUATIONS: Focus on someone you have a conflict with or on a negative emotional situation in your life. You then look for things to be grateful for in those situations. They may not be obvious, but they are ALWAYS there.
Be grateful... that you only have to deal with this person once a month, that if it weren't for this situation - you wouldn't have met a new friend, that this situation now offers an opportunity for growth...

A newer, more positive energy will come from this especially since you had to look deeper into yourself to find the gratitude.

Other Ways To Practice Gratitude

KEEP A GRATITUDE JOURNAL:

It's a good practice to take 10 minutes a day to write down things you are grateful for and that bring you joy. They can be big or small as long as you tune into the feelings of gratitude for having them in your life right now.

Be grateful for: a stress-free commute to work, a call you got from an old friend, a delicious meal, a hug from your child, a compliment you received from your boss, a great night's sleep, an invigorating workout...

DO A GRATITUDE WALK:

As you're strolling with the kids, walking the dog, or doing your chores, look around and rattle off as many things as you can think of to be grateful for. Tell the Universe out loud what you love about your life.

WRITE A GRATITUDE LETTER:

Write a mock letter to someone very important in your life who would be excited for your news. Tell them how grateful you are about this wonderful thing that has happened in your life. Doing this exercise will bring about intense emotions and will put you in a joyful, grateful vibration.

""Hi Julia, The most exciting thing happened to me... I couldn't wait to tell you about it. I went to the gym a few weeks ago and was working out and got to talking to the girl next to me. I told her about the new web business that I just launched and she was so interested that she interviewed me for a local newspaper article. It created tons of traffic to my website and I made some big sales too. I am SO grateful that I met her that day.""

TIP: You can even write this "as if" that something happened to try and attract it into your life.

Just make sure you practice gratitude every day. Create a routine that's easy and sustainable.
When it comes to creating and experiencing the kind of life you want, it's a law of the Universe that it will always deliver in the right time for the right vibration of your body.

So if you practice gratitude, you will energetically raise your vibration and speed up the process of attracting what you desire.

There is truly NO BETTER WAY to do that than when you are in a state of gratitude.

Want Business or Personal Growth? Challenge Your Assumptions!

Assumptions make our lives easier. That’s both good news and bad. As creatures of habit, we seek efficiency through the use of assumptions in lieu of active thought to drive most of our behaviors. With few exceptions, what we do in any given 24-hour period demands little conscious thought because we’ve developed habits that help us accomplish all sorts of things.

For instance, while driving (even if you’re doing the speed limit), it’s quite common to pull your foot off the gas pedal when you see a police car ahead on the side of the road. In that instant, it seems like your foot has a mind of its own! What really happened is that you incorporated an assumption – that getting a ticket is a bad thing — to replace the thinking component of the “stimulus-thought-response” chain of events. In this example, no doubt, the assumption — or habit of thought — serves you well (this is the good news).

Unfortunately, however, that’s often not the case (this is the bad news). In a business, assumptions might include any of the following statements or beliefs:

“That won’t work here.”

“Change is risky.”

“I’ve seen this situation before.”

“We’re better than the competition.”

While some of our assumptions are useful in preventing us from having to consciously figure out the mechanics each time we confront a familiar situation, many habits of thought keep us from stretching our capabilities and trying new, and inventive, and possibly better ideas or techniques. Just like when you see a police car, these assumptions work silently, but powerfully to impact your behaviors and the behaviors of those around you.

Welcome to the “black box” of business and the enemy of business growth. Most business leaders don’t even know that it exists; yet it contains the keys to our own potential, our organizations’ potential, and our ability to get more of what we really want. Assumptions drive thinking, thinking drives behavior, and behavior drives results.

In late 2005 FORTUNE Magazine published a cover story about Andy Grove, one of Intel’s founders and most accomplished leaders. In describing one of the key characteristics that made Grove so successful, author Richard S. Tedlow wrote “Forcibly adapting himself to a succession of new realities, [Grove] has left a trail of discarded assumptions in his wake.” Grove’s ability to challenge “conventional wisdom” (just a euphemism for assumptions) paved the way for a number of seminal decisions at Intel including their move in the mid 1980’s to exit the memory business and focus on processors, and their decision to spend millions on a ground-breaking branding campaign called “Intel Inside” to brand an internal component of a computer.

What made Grove different (and so successful at Intel) is that he actively sought ways to force himself to challenge his assumptions and beliefs – in effect continually pushing and expanding his comfort zone. It was the modus operandi of his personal growth and his ability to lead Intel so successfully for so long.

Can you identify the modus operandi for strategic growth in your organization? When is the last time you consciously pushed to expand your comfort zone – by definition making yourself and those surrounding you uncomfortable in the process? Can you find a way to regularly challenge your own assumptions and beliefs? If not, might it make sense to find someone who will?

For sure, assumptions make our lives easier and more comfortable. It’s up to you however, to decide what you’d like to do with them to drive growth, to make your organization more competitive, and to improve yourself personally.

Does the buck stop with you? Are you willing to take responsibility for your life and your actions? President Harry Truman used to have sign on his desk that said, "The Buck Stops Here."Meaning? That he was taking personal responsibility for all of this thoughts, words and actions.Most of us would be under the mistaken idea that if we are living our lives then we are absolutely taking responsibility for our life. This may be true, one way to know for sure would be if things are still not as you would have them to be, if you still have things in your life, or feelings that you wish you could eliminate then it is possible you have yet to gain control of your present circumstance.Today, we are going to talk about accepting responsibility for your present situation in order to open up your possibility for growth. Sometimes we have to literally clear the way to achievement.Most people spend their majority of time thinking about the past or the future. Very few people actually live in the present moment. Oh, we do live in the moment when we remind ourselves to do so! That's why it feels good to exercise, to participate in sports, to laugh; these are all things we are aware of at the present moment.I’ve said before that what really matters most in our creation process is what is happening in the here and now, and that the past is the past and it is only recreated in our minds when we choose to recreate it by lending attention to it, or rethinking the things that have happened in the past, things that have no affect on our future what so ever, unless we choose to allow them to affect our future. We can learn how to let go of our past and focus on living in the now. We can to take ownership of our present circumstance and take responsibility for our life, and we can start today. We can do this by entering into a contract with ourselves.Letting go of our past is a key ingredient of living a happy abundant life!Agree that after today, the buck stops here, with you...and me.When we start to take responsibility for ourselves, our lives, and our situation, we can begin the journey to successfully creating our future.When we blame others for our present situation, we are giving our power away.....the power to continue to affectively create in our current life, our current situation or circumstance. We have to take ownership of our lives! By taking ownership, we are now affectively creating our life the way we want it to be, not the way it is. We are creating a life of our choosing, not what someone else chooses for us!By now we should all understand how we arrived at our current situation. How our thoughts led us to our words and actions which ultimately created our results. When we blame others that means we are allowing them to control our lives.Here's the great news...since you created how your life looks, you can change it!It is time to forgive ourselves and start the journey to creating the results we deserve. Starting today, our lives do not have to be a list of excuses, our life can become a statement!When we begin to start to live in the solution and not the problem, our life starts to slowly transform. We begin to attract solution oriented people and not people filled with drama.We become the change and lead the way for our friends and family to follow the example we set. By changing ourselves, it allows others to witness our growth and shows them that they, too can make changes.In order to do this, we must take responsibility and start to create our future today.At one time or the other we have all lost a sale, said the wrong thing to a friend, wished we could take back words we said to our child or made a mistake that we didn't forgive ourselves for? We may still be thinking about it today, (Even though it might have happened years ago.)We cannot change our past, but we can transform our future.Don't you see?
